Short Trip to Ilocos

I am an avid aficionado of travelling. Whenever I have the opportunity to travel, I engage into it. Going to different places gives me a euphoric feeling and an experience of hyperreality. During my Christmas break, I went to Ilocos for a short trip. I've been to Ilocos before but I don't have my camera yet when I first  went there. So now, I splurged on the chance to take pictures of such a wonderful place.

Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte have a lot of beautiful places to offer but due to lack of time, I was only able to visit a few yet amazing places in Ilocos. Here's a peek of what's in store for you if you want to visit and explore Ilocos.

ILOCOS NORTE..

The historical and long-standing Paoay Church. The church's distinct and enormous architecture is an archetype of Europe's Baroque Architecture.

The serene and relaxing lake of Paoay.

Marcos Ancestral House. Former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos and his wife Imelda Marcos were two of the biggest and controversial names in Philippine government. Their house in Ilocos is an epitome of antiquity and sophistication.

Cape Bojeador Lighthouse. If you wanna get a messy hair, you gotta visit this place coz' it's very windy and cool once you reach the top of the lighthouse.

really windy huh? :)

Giant Windmills at Bangui Ilocos Norte. This is one of my most favorite destinations in Ilocos Norte! It took us 4-5 hours from Narvacan, Ilocos Sur to reach the place. But the long drive was worth it once you see the Giant Windmills, feel the wind slap your face and the sand particles hit your body.

ILOCOS SUR..

I consider beaches as my haven. I really enjoy watching the waves clash through the shores and feel the  cool water and the rocks touch through my feet.

At the beach of Santa, Ilocs Sur.

Vigan, Ilocos Sur. Walking through the streets of Vigan Heritage Village was like experiencing the Spanish era in the Philippines. antique. laid-back. cozy.

the famous Ilocos emapanada!

Though it was a 2-day trip, it was well-spent. :) FUN FUN FUN! :)))
