Proverbs 4:23

While browsing my twitter feed last night, I came across Joyce Meyer's twitter account (@JoyceMeyer). Who is she by the way? I first knew about her while back reading Kris Aquino's tweets and Oyo Boy Sotto's instagram posts few years ago. Their posts brought me to curiousity so I immediately searched her on twitter and without further ado, I clicked the follow button. According to Joyce Meyer's official website, she is "one of the world's leading practical Bible teachers. A New York Times bestselling author, her books have helped millions of people find hope and restoration through Jesus Christ."

Whenever I feel sad/down/weary/discouraged, I go to Joyce Meyer's twitter account and read her posts. Personally, her words have encouraged and inspired me for the past few months. And last night, a simple quote caught my attention again. It's a very short quote yet it speaks a lot.

Why did this quote ring a bell to me? I am currently in a situation where hard work, diligence and patience are not the only things that matter but passion as well. Many people keep on saying "If you don't love what you do, you will never have fun." and "You will look young as long as you love what you're doing." It's too early for me to say that I love where I am right now but one thing is for sure, I know I will love what I'll do as I go along the way. I don't know how to concretely explain it but I just feel so inspired and enthusiastic to be an effective one and be the best in this field. Surely, I WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

This isn't going to be an easy task. Just like what a speaker told us yesterday, this entails a lot of demands. You will feel exhausted and tied down but at the end of the day, it will be the most rewarding feeling ever. I can't wait to experience all of these! "Nobody told me it's going to be easy but it'll be definitely worth it." -- I'll always hold on to these words.

Yet again, I go back to Proverbs 4:23. The heart is the alpha and omega of the things you do. Without the heart and burning passion, it's going to be a totally different story.
