Whenever I feel sad/down/weary/discouraged, I go to Joyce Meyer's twitter account and read her posts. Personally, her words have encouraged and inspired me for the past few months. And last night, a simple quote caught my attention again. It's a very short quote yet it speaks a lot.
"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. " -Proverbs 4:23

Why did this quote ring a bell to me? I am currently in a situation where hard work, diligence and patience are not the only things that matter but passion as well. Many people keep on saying "If you don't love what you do, you will never have fun." and "You will look young as long as you love what you're doing." It's too early for me to say that I love where I am right now but one thing is for sure, I know I will love what I'll do as I go along the way. I don't know how to concretely explain it but I just feel so inspired and enthusiastic to be an effective one and be the best in this field. Surely, I WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
This isn't going to be an easy task. Just like what a speaker told us yesterday, this entails a lot of demands. You will feel exhausted and tied down but at the end of the day, it will be the most rewarding feeling ever. I can't wait to experience all of these! "Nobody told me it's going to be easy but it'll be definitely worth it." -- I'll always hold on to these words.
Yet again, I go back to Proverbs 4:23. The heart is the alpha and omega of the things you do. Without the heart and burning passion, it's going to be a totally different story.
