200th blog entry: First Love Never Dies

Some people say, "first love never dies." Some would disbelieve this saying while some won't. At some point of my life, I took side on this saying. However, for me, it's still a case to case basis. In the context of my 200th blog entry, I have to say "first love never dies" especially in college. :) Okay, it's not what you think it is. My first love in college is NOT  a guy. It is an organization. No, organization is an understatement. It's more appropriate to say it's a family - my home away from home.

I started to become part of this "family" in 2009 (too bad I wasn't able to spend the whole 4 years of my college life with them ) then left in 2012 because I was already a graduating student back then. Three years may be too short but it was the best three years of my college life! I think I spent 3/4 of my time with them rather than studying, doing my papers, thesis, et al. HAHAHA! (I'm such a good student, right?!? ) But, never did I consider spending time with members of this family a burden or a hindrance in my academic life. They even helped me in so many ways I can't even imagine. They became one of my sources of inspiration, my crying pillow, my stress absorbers, etc.

There are so many good things to say about this family of mine but this blog entry cannot suffice how grateful I am that I became part of it. I will never regret the day I stepped at CAL AVR and attended the Applicant's Orientation because if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't be writing this blog entry. I wouldn't be able to tell everyone how proud and happy I am sooooo... HAPPY HAPPY 20th ANNIVERSARY to my first love in college - UP SANDIWA! Cheers to 2 decades of sad and happy moments, love, friendship and excellence (naks! Of course we are all excellent in our own ways hehe). To every member of UP Sandiwa, I love you from the bottom of my hypothalamus gland! ;)))

So I'm gonna do a #Throwback post here. Below are some collated pictures of anniversary celebrations I've attended as a resident member (2009-2011).
